Hi, I’m Sue, the founder of Eleganza Wig & Hat Boutique.

With over 25 years as a professional hairdresser, I have had the privilege of helping countless women feel confident and beautiful through hairstyling. My love of doing hair took me on a different journey when I saw firsthand the emotional impact hair loss can have on women.  This process can be for medical reasons or the normal aging process for some.  I am here to help you through this process and find what works for you in a no pressure environment.

Why I Started Eleganza

Eleganza was born out of a desire to provide a warm, welcoming, and pressure-free space where women experiencing hair loss could find not just wigs, but also support, care, and confidence. My first experience working with wigs was with a beloved client who was battling cancer.

Helping my client find and style a wig that made her feel like herself again opened my eyes to how life-changing this process can be. After years of research, training, and learning, I knew that this was where I wanted my career to evolve.

  • Sue is the best! I was somewhat apprehensive about getting a topper, but Sue was so friendly and patient with me and put me right at ease. She took a lot of time with me, like I was her only client. Sue is extremely easy to work with and very discrete. No high pressure sales pitch here. She willingly tried different weight and style toppers on me so I could see exactly how I looked in each one. She even ordered a different color for me to try. I have badly thinning hair an am so pleased with the topper. I made me feel like myself again! The color she chose was absolutely perfect. She also gave me tips on how to wear and care for it. She even offered to have me bring it back when it was time to wash it so she could take me through the process step by step. she told me to come back anytime if I ever needed help or had any questions.

    I couldn’t believe I was getting this wonderful service and product with traveling to Boston! A very special gem right here in Laconia! Sue was like an old friend by the time I left her shop. I highly recommend her and fantastic service she provides.

  • Eleganza changed my life. I lost most of my hair after having surgery a few years ago. It caused me angst and made me sad, especially because my daughter was getting married. I went to Eleganza in April of 2025 and was educated on wigs and left with my very first one. I now own about 20!

    My daughter got married in October of 2025 and the week prior I had my appointment at Eleganza to have my wig styled Even though Sue was expecting her first grandbaby at any time, she kept the appointment and made me look beautiful.
